Assessment Information
This is an individual assignment. It accounts for 70% of the total module mark and is designed to assess
learning outcomes 2, 3 and 4:
2. Critically discuss a range of ways that individual managers and their organisations are responsible
for their actions and the treatment of people affected by change.
3. Critically discuss a range of social processes involved in managing change.
4. Outline and assess examples from business that highlight issues of sustainability and corporate
responsibility within the context of change management.
This assignment requires you to write an original portfolio comprising 4 written responses (plus appendices if
used). There is no word count for each of the 4 responses but you are advised to write approximately 750
words per answer on average.
Your written entries will build upon seminar activities, lectures, and online resources, which will be released
throughout the semester. Eight questions will be issued in total and you will choose which four to present in
your portfolio.
The word limit is 3000 words.
There will be a penalty of a deduction of 10% of the mark (after internal moderation) for work exceeding the
word limit by 10% or more.
The word limit includes quotations, footnotes, words in tables and graphs, but excludes the list of references.
