Using the policy issue you chose in Week 1, (same-sex marriage) identify the key arguments surrounding the policy issue in your state “Illinois” and the key stakeholders, both supporters and opponents, that must be considered in forming the policy position. Topics to consider in your paper include the following:
- Positions of major political parties in your state
- Public opinion polls on the issue
- Media views
