PHYSICAL SELF-CARE Q2 Data Collection Assignment
This assignment includes two components: 1. Recruitment, Interview, & Qualtrics 1) Recruit two study participants: Inclusion criterion: age 18 years or older; fluent in English. Exclusion criterion: resides in the same household as another study participant*; current or former clients; individuals whom you supervise, evaluate, or to whom you have a superior power relationship. *This exclusion criterion regarding household residence means that only one member of a household may be invited to participate in the study. 2) Interview them using the questionnaire: You can choose interview them either in person or via phone. Open your interview by introducing this class project and announcing the informed consent to obtain their voluntary participation. Write a brief reflection paper about the recruitment and interview process Please address the following questions in the brief reflection paper (maximum two double-spaced page): 1) How did you recruit the study participants: when, where, and how? Was it easy or difficult? What were some specific challenges you encountered? Did you use some strategies to help improve the recruitment process? If so, what were they and were they helpful? 2) How did you interview the study participants: when, where, and how? Was it easy or difficult? What were some specific challenges you encountered? Did you use some strategies to help improve the interview process? If so, what were they and were they helpful? 3) From your data collection experience, what were the strengths and weaknesses of the data collection plan used in this study? Were there any ethical issues related to the measures used and the data collection process? Was the data collection plan culturally appropriate and sensitive? 4) How would you summarize your experience during this data collection process in one sentence? What impressed you the most? Were there any surprises during the data collection process? Any unexpected discoveries, reflections, or rewards? How do they affect you view about conducting research? Submission Two completed questionnaires and the two-page reflection paper, both in hard copies to be handed in at the beginning of class 4 (Feb 3).
