A Book Critique Assignment is a writing assignment that summarizes and critiques a scholarly book devoted to a particular topic in the field of study. You are being asked to compose a formal book critique on a scholarly book because doing so is designed to help you develop analytical evaluative and composition skills while addressing complex apologetic issues. You will need these skills to help you understand better the apologetic topic being addressed in the book, formulate sound arguments and address objections, compose formal written documents in the future, and engage in formal and informal apologetic conversations.
Write a critical assessment of at least 900 words in current Turabian format on Baggett’s and Walls’s (Chapter 8 of God and Cosmos) assessment of Lewis’s The Abolition of Man. You should read Lewis’s, The Abolition of Man before reading Baggett’s and Walls’s assessment of Lewis. Devote the first half of this assignment to summarizing Baggett’s and Wall’s presentation in chapter 8. The second half of the assignment should address whether, or not, you agree with B&W, being sure to give your reason for agreement, or disagreement.
Cite God and Cosmos and The Abolition of Man once in a footnote. Afterwards, cite specific references to either book parenthetically, using the Author(s) and page number only, for example (Baggett and Walls, 182). Additional sources or citations are not required, but may be used sparingly. A Title Page is required, but no Table of Contents or Bibliography.
Note: Your assignment will be checked for originality via the Turnitin plagiarism tool.
