1. Does the American landscape possess a quality that is distinctly American? Is it different from Europe’s? (Landscape would also include the built environment for the purpose of this discussion.)
2. Are fine-quality photographs art or craft? Are fine-quality quilts art or craft? Can anything with a utilitarian purpose be a work of art?
3. Is art democratic? Should a work of art be pleasing to everyone? Should the artist keep his/her audience in mind when creating a work? Does art have a moral purpose? Must art transform our daily life?
4. Watch two short video and answer three questions
a. Why does this approach to team-building work?
b. How might the “jazz metaphor” be useful for teams?
c. How might this approach be applied to other situations?
