In some people the immune system can be too sensitive. Pollen, animal dander, or foods that are not intrinsically harmful (such as peanuts) are interpreted by some immune systems as dangerous antigens. The result is an allergic reaction, which might include sneezing, tissue inflammation, and mucus secretion. In the most serious cases of anaphylactic reactions, airways can constrict while blood vessels dilate, leading to shock and death. For reasons not clearly understood, allergies are on the rise worldwide. Do some research and develop a hypothesis why allergies are on the rise worldwide. Prepare one page (250 words) and back up your hypothesis.
