Experiences of Slavery Paper
Many people think they know a fair amount about slavery and how it affected women in the North and South, but do they? Pretend a local politician just got it very wrong and you are a historian wanting to set the record straight on how slavery affected women in America. Include:
- enslaved women’s varied experiences
- northern white women
- southern white women
- How class and religion also might have affected the experiences
Use America’s Women Chapters 7 and 8, and at least two primary sources from Chapter 2 of Women and Slavery in America.
Cite specific examples.
