You have spent 6 weeks enrolled as a student in UWP 104A; let us imagine that instead of this being a class, this was a job that you have been working at for 6 weeks and are now up for a scheduled review and pay raise. As part of the review process, you are asked to submit a letter evaluating your own performance and asking for either a 1-step raise (the standard bump from one pay bracket to another), a 1 1/2-step raise, or 2-step raise (both of which are considered an accelerated pay raise). In your letter, you’ll want to make a case for which you feel you deserve, supporting this with examples based on your performance (consider both your performance in class and on the assignments you’ve submitted) as well as your growth over the last 6 weeks.
