Responsibilities POSITION TITLE: Paid Internship DEPARTMENT: Human Resources POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for supporting the administrative efforts of a human resources department which allows an individual pursuing a career in Human Resources or a related field to learn and grow. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary responsibility will be to assist the scanning of confidential personnel file contents to the Human Resource Information System while auditing for compliance Assist the department with HR projects Assist with new hire onboarding processes Make copies, fax documents and perform other clerical functions Other duties as assigned Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: An undergraduate student in good academic standing, currently pursuing an HR or related field bachelors degree Verbal, written, problem-solving and interpersonal skills Planning, time management and organization skills Must be detailed-oriented Working knowledge with Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, etc.) LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Heightened awareness to personnel file maintenance. Compliance is critical for personnel files as any contents always has the potential of being audited or turning into evidence during a lawsuit. An HR professionals exposure to compliance and security of records will be very helpful early in their career.
