Is it a diversity issue if the client or patient’s gender is male? Many of the family-oriented programs are geared toward single mothers and reject single fathers. When a male needs support, it is extremely difficult to find programs to help him or his children. A few programs will surface if there is addiction or probation; however, without the male being in a serious misfortune, very few programs are available except for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) or food stamps. WIC is the acronym for Women, Infants & Children; although, some states are opening this provision to single fathers with young children.
Students, do we need a new rule book for working or military fathers and why? In what way is this related to personality development?
