1.When conducting academic and scientific research processes, it is really important to use reliable, trustworthy references, also known as “peer reviewed”. What does it mean for a reference to be peer reviewed? Why should you use them? How do you find them?
2.Research and statistics play a vital role not in the criminal justice field, but in every field possible that requires research and statistics. In my current job we us a lot of statistics on how much product we are selling and how many people walk in, out of, and how much product is bought per customer. When it comes to criminal justice you are constantly researching and trying to figure out the statistics of the crime rate in your area or state. This helps in trying to figure out new ways or methods to keep crime rates at a very minimum which in return will help the citizens feel much more safe within their own neighborhoods and that much more safe when they decide to go out and about. You should always do research and learn the statistics of everything that you research especially when taking these courses, we are taking them for a reason, to help us better understand what it will be like when we become an officer of the law or what it is like to deal with any other form of law such as a lawyer.
