Your assignment is to write a five-page essay (typed, double- spaced, 12-pitch font, new time roma ) that applies what you have learned to a specific case of deviance. I attached paper instructions in files. (please read it carefully).
You may choose between two cases: (1) the “Spur Posse” incident, in which several young men from Lakewood, California were accused of rape; or (2) a murder-suicide that occurred at Harvard University in 1995. For your data, use one of two articles from the New Yorker: either “Trouble in Lakewood” (by Joan Didion) for the Spur Posse case, or “Diary of a Murder” (by Melanie Thernstrom) for the Harvard case. Those two articles I attached in files.
