In the Native American literature that you’ve read, you have seen a strong focus on community over the individual. In John Smith’s account, you see a very different sense of the individual. Discuss John Smith’s advocacy of a corporate structure and contrast it to both Mather’s account and the representations of Native American culture that you’ve read.
