Doors for Hope is an event sponsored by regional Habitat for Humanity chapters.
Artists can paint a picture of a perfect world; create a place where everyone enjoys
the stability, the security and the dignity of a decent, affordable home. Anything is
possible on a canvas.
Each year, gives blank, unpainted doors to over 40 local artists. The doors are 30” x
80” and may be painted on one or both sides. These creative men and women
donate their time and talents, painting original, artistic doors. We are thankful to
the artists who donate their labor-intensive creations — but it is the community who
holds the key to opening each of them.
Once the artists each submit their finished door, Doors for Hope posts photographs
of each on the website, encouraging members of the community to “vote” for their
favorite door. Every $10 counts as a “fan favorite” vote. The top three “fan favorite”
doors will be receiving prizes at the Doors for Hope Auction Gala!
The Doors for Hope Auction Gala features an evening filled with one of a kind
artwork, dinner, drinks and live music. A silent auction will be conducted, selling
each and every door. The doors can be used as artwork or can be hung as an actual
door in a home or business.
