The most common way ordinary people interact with history is through museums, which curate artifacts related to their subject, provide descriptions, and create exhibits in order to construct a narrative from these artifacts. This allows people to experience history in a more concrete way than reading a book or watching a documentary. This week, your assignment is to explore the webpage of the National World War One Museum and Memorial. Look through the Exhibits and Collections, watch any videos you come across on the website and write up a short review of the museum. Your review should be at least 300 words and include which exhibit you found most interesting and why, as well as a description of at least three artifacts from the Collections pages. Your responses to one another should compare the different artifacts you chose and comment on your different opinions of the museum and its website.
Your posts and responses to at least two classmates must be completed by June 19, 11:59 pm.
